Find a free tax site

Please find the tax site or filing option that works best for you!

File (with help) from the comfort of your own home!

Our volunteers are always happy to see you at one of our in-person tax sites. But we understand that you are busy and that it may be more convenient for you to do your taxes without having to leave your couch (or desk, or the library down the street, or whatever your preference may be). And if you’re feeling nervous about tackling your taxes on your own, don’t worry! We’ll be there to help you every step of the way.

Doing your own taxes can be intimidating, but don’t worry; our team of local, IRS-certified volunteers will be available to help you work through any tricky or confusing situations that may arise. You can do it!

Please note that this option is only available to households earning less than $73,000 in 2022. You will generally need a copy of last year’s tax return to use this DIY method successfully.

You generally do not need last year’s return to visit an in-person site (below).

Our partners at United Way Worldwide operate MyFreeTaxes.com, where households earning less than $73,000 can file online for free, with assistance from IRS-certified volunteers by phone, email, or chat.
